Who We Are
Housed within the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery in UW-Madison’s Discovery Building, the Illuminating Discovery Hub is about engaging in conversations, exchanging ideas, and working with others to expand our collective knowledge and understanding.
It involves being open to diverse perspectives, listening to others, and building upon each other’s insights to achieve greater illumination through artistic expression through a scientific lens.
The mission of the Illuminating Discovery Hub is cultivate public trust, appreciation, and understanding of basic and complex science concepts, leveraging the arts as a medium for communication and engagement.
What We Do
The Illuminating Discovery Hub is home to a variety of programs geared towards engaging with the community through the arts. We work with partner organizations, artists, writers, scientists, and anyone curious about the intersection between art and science. We aim to bring engaging programming that enriches the space around us while informing participants about cutting-edge research, opportunities to get involved, and more.
We seek to create welcoming spaces to learn, share, and grow through the arts and sciences.
